The Kalanidhi dance company is available for the following dance productions:
Navarasa - 90 minute production
A depiction of the nine moods - love; humor or happiness; fear; compassion or sadness; disgust; surprise and wonderment;
anger; courage or bravery; and peace - that are universal to humankind. Episodes from the Ramayana have been selected
based on the predominant emotion displayed or felt in that scene. This mood is then elaborated through pure dance
sequences using group choreography. Produced and directed by Anuradha Nehru, with music originally composed for this
production by B.V. Balasai.
Chandalika - 90 minute dance-drama
Based on a story by the Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, this production recounts the story of a young untouchable
girl's conversion to Buddhism, to escape the harsh realities of the Hindu caste system.
