This fall, Kalanidhi Dance explores life’s most enduring emotion in “The Poetry of Love.” The production brings together five new choreographic works inspired by love poems that span tradition, time, and culture. From an eighteenth century Scottish lament, to a classical Tamil love poem of the sixth century, “The Poetry of Love” re-discovers love’s complexity through Kuchipudi dance, revealing facets that can be at once heartbreaking and healing. The production features original music by well-known composer and flute virtuoso, Raman Kalyan and the immensely talented British vocalist, Tanya Wells.
