Please join us in celebrating the brilliant legacy of Anuradha Nehru, the visionary founder and Artistic Director of Kalanidhi Dance.

In creating and nurturing the award-winning Kalanidhi Dance, she has established an institution like no other. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, her inimitable grace, and seemingly effortless ability to forge deep relationships within the Kalanidhi family, she has won the respect and adoration of countless students and supporters. The Maryland State Arts Council recently awarded her with the prestigious Heritage Award, capping a distinguished career that has garnered recognition and acclaim both here and abroad.

Join us on Saturday, September 13th at 6 pm for an elegant evening of celebration and joy. We will come together along with special guests over delicious bites and drinks, rejoice in Anuradha’s brilliant legacy, and enjoy a special performance by the Kalanidhi Company Dancers. 

On this momentous occasion, the Kalanidhi Board of Directors will proudly launch the Anuradha Nehru Legacy Fund to honor Anuradha’s lifelong commitment  to excellence in Kuchipudi instruction and performance, and outreach across our region. She has exemplified an unwavering dedication to the arts and to the South Asian community. Through this fund, Kalanidhi Dance will be able to ensure that Anuradha’s artistic vision and commitment to the highest standards of dance continues into the future, benefitting generations of dancers to come. We will share further details on how you can get involved at the Legacy Gala.

As you may be aware, the arts and arts funding are facing heavy headwinds. The Legacy Gala is truly a special space where we can gather in celebration and  support of Kalanidhi Dance, honor our beloved Anuradha, or Anu aunty or Anu akka as she is fondly known.
