Resonance

Join Kalanidhi Dance for "Resonance: Celebrating Kuchipudi’s Choreographic Voices", an evening of dance showcasing choreographers who are carrying forward the Kuchipudi tradition in innovative and imaginative ways. The program begins with a discussion with leading choreographers/dancers/artists: Anupama Kylash, Rathna Kumar, and Anuradha Nehru. Following the discussion, we present seven choreographers who have taken the malleable technique of Kuchipudi in ancient and new directions. We are particularly excited to present Anupama Kylash from India who is renowned for her extempore interpretation of abhinaya (expressive dance) as the featured artist for the evening. The concept was created by our Founding Artistic Director Anuradha Nehru.
