‍Since launching in 1991, Kalanidhi Dance has trained more than 1,000 girls and young women living in the Greater DC Metro area in Kuchipudi, a Southern Indian classical dance form. Through rigorous dance training, Kalanidhi promotes physical strength and agility, poise and grace, self-confidence and self-esteem.The school provides a collaborative space where students are able to freely express themselves through dance. Kalanidhi encourages its students to connect with their communities: enchanting elementary school students with dance storytelling; raising funds for local charities; and, hosting artists from across the country.

We invite you to participate in Giving Tuesday and celebrate over 30 years of service, commitment and building a community that helps promote excellence in Kuchipudi dance in the United States. Please make a gift of any size to drive our mission forward ensuring that our dancers at Kalanidhi have access and opportunity to blossom into world class Kuchipudi artists and that our students have access to high-quality dance education!
